What Jefferson Sees - Washington, D.C.
Ever since my childhood, the Fallout series has held a special place in my heart. Its unique blend of post-apocalyptic ambiance and retro-futuristic charm has always intrigued me. While Fallout: New Vegas remains my ultimate favorite, it was Fallout 3 that initially introduced me to this captivating universe. Set amidst the ruins of Washington, D.C., the game features a notable landmark: a water purification plant ingeniously integrated into the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Imagine my excitement when my job sent me to Washington for a conference. During an evening of sightseeing with a coworker, I had the chance to explore some of the iconic locations from the game, including the renowned memorial itself. Standing before it, I couldn't help but marvel, though I found it slightly smaller than it was depicted in the game.
